Disappearing Inhalers

Ok...to start off this blog...I would like to see if anyone has found a solution to a problem that I have noticed at every hospital I have ever worked. How can we prevent loss of patient inhalers on the floor? Also, what is happening to these inhalers? Are the nurses losing them? Are patients pocketing them? Please help!

I have started this blog as a forum for hospital pharmacists to share information as it relates to issues we might encounter. I want participants to use this site as place to share information that would be helpful for other hospital pharmacists. I have seen many pharmacy blogs that are used for "letting off steam". I do not want this to be that sort of site. I have worked in various types of hospitals and long-term care facilities and have taken procedures that have worked in one environment and altered it to work in another.
